Jamie LaMonica

Lexington native Jamie LaMonica has been involved in the thoroughbred industry most of his life, having grown up on his parents' breeding farm. Early in his career, Jamie gained valuable experience working for future Hall of Fame trainer John Veitch, as well as John R. Gaines Thoroughbreds and Equibase. He then began to focus on stallion sales and marketing at Vinery farm, where he was Director of Stallion Operations. His position at Vinery had him managing stallion books and syndicates for over thirty stallions. During this time, Jamie became Founder and President of Starquine.com, which currently is the industry's leading online Thoroughbred listing service. In addition, he and a partner founded the stallion nursery Empire Stud in 2003, which is currently the leading stallion operation by average earnings per stallion in New York.

Since focusing on stallion syndication, Jamie has been involved in the acquisition and/or syndication of several prominent and successful stallions, and he continues to enjoy relationships with many of the top stallion farms.  Jamie is currently the President of both Empire Stud and The Stallion Company.
